My snare drum stick height chart was born out of a professional development session that I had with band directors. Many directors loved the idea of stick heights that were aligned with dynamics but didn’t have a way of showing this concept to their students. The visual aide can be enlarged and used as a poster for a reminder to percussionists to control their strokes to make sounds that blend with the ensemble.
